Why iGP is investing in an omnichannel approach

‘You’re investing in retail?’

That has been the first question posed to us for the last few months when we have told prospects, current customers, shareholders, and suppliers that we are investing in retail, and their response normally goes two ways, they’re either excited, or they don’t understand. Either view is fine, but those who don’t understand are the interesting ones because when we explain the opportunity and size of the market, they soon change their mind.

Launching retail is no easy feat, and is even harder to launch it when you plan on showcasing at ICE, but iGP doesn’t do it easy, we do it well and the opportunity to push ourselves and get the solution ready for the show is worth the effort.

In my view omnichannel should not be just a buzz word, it should be true to its meaning and offer varied experiences.

What iGP is bringing to market with its new retail solution is the opportunity for players to access their online account in a retail environment and vice versa, true omnichannel. As it’s retail, players can also play anonymously via cash directly into the terminals or via the cashier. Whether they are playing socially in retail or on their device on their daily commute, it is omnichannel in every sense of the words.

And we have a very exciting addition to the retail environment coming as well.

Opportunity

The betting industry is thriving in many regions, thanks in large part to a vibrant retail sector, and the prospect of establishing a presence in these markets excites us greatly.

A big focus currently for iGP is LATAM, and we believe our omnichannel offering can make an immediate impact here. There are retail networks across the region that are using substandard technology to power their gaming businesses, and these networks are about to lose out to larger players outside their respective countries unless they catch up.

That says nothing about the potential revenues they are missing out on because their control of the business is actually with their suppliers, not with themselves. 

The other area that is of great interest to us is Asia.

Both LATAM and Asia have similar problems, either they have a great retail or a great iGaming offer, but very few offer both. With iGP’s platform offer in retail, which seamlessly connects the two great worlds of gaming, we can bridge the gap, enhancing both the online and retail environments to ensure the player, wherever they are, can benefit from a quality experience.

Sportsbook and Casino

Primarily, 99% of the terminals used today are for sports betting, and we don’t see that changing dramatically. However, and in true iGP style, we have enabled the casino content from the aggregator on the terminals, it makes sense in these retail environments to offer both on one terminal.

The fast delivery from our aggregator solution remains, as does full capability of our great sportsbook from our partners at First Sportsbook – but in a retail environment and of course all built on iGP’s iconic core platform which provides fantastic uptime, a feature rich environment and crucially the control operators need to drive their business.

 

The ICE(ing) on the cake

We’ve launched a number of crypto operators this year, our multi-wallet solution turns our powerful turnkey casino and sportsbook solution into a crypto enabled version in a simple and streamlined way.

We believe that crypto has a place right at the heart of retail, which is why we are also going to launch a crypto ATM, just like you would for cash in a retail environment. The payments landscape is every changing, and crypto specifically is growing rapidly especially with the headline grabbing highs of bitcoin.
